On December 31, 2025, in the Chuke Intelligent production workshop at the Xiema Zhongnan High-Tech Smart Port in Beibei District, Chongqing, two customized multi-axis large-format laser welding machines completed final performance testing and are about to be shipped to Ukraine. This exported equipment is specifically designed for the new energy vehicle battery repair scenario and will serve the precision disassembly, structural repair, and module reassembly of Tesla battery packs in the region, marking a key breakthrough for China's high-end laser equipment in the overseas new energy aftermarket.
Addressing pain points in Tesla battery pack repair, such as aluminum frame deformation repair and module welding precision control, the Chuke Intelligent R&D team overcame numerous technical challenges over eight months. The exported
Laser Welding Machine is equipped with a ten-axis linkage control system, which can simultaneously control the composite movement of the welding head, rotary table, and robotic arm, achieving a positioning accuracy of 0.05mm in three-dimensional space, perfectly adapting to the complex curved surface welding requirements of Tesla's 4680 battery cell arrangement. Equipped with a 3000W high-power fiber laser, the equipment can complete through-welding of a 10mm thick aluminum plate in a single scan, controlling the heat-affected zone to within 0.2mm. This represents a four-fold increase in efficiency compared to traditional argon arc welding, with no spatter or deformation, significantly reducing the residual value of battery packs requiring repair.
“Tesla battery pack repair requires extremely high welding sealing; even the smallest pore can pose a safety hazard,” explained Mr. Li, Technical Director of Chuke Intelligent. “We use a closed-loop temperature control algorithm to control the temperature fluctuation of the weld pool within ±5℃, combined with an AI vision inspection system to correct the welding trajectory in real time, ensuring that every weld meets the ISO 12476:2025 power battery standard.” Test data shows that the equipment maintained a welding yield rate of 99.8% during 200 hours of continuous high-load operation, a 32 percentage point improvement over the existing equipment of the Ukrainian customer.
The Ukrainian customer in this collaboration is the largest new energy vehicle repair service provider in Eastern Europe, with 12 Tesla-certified repair centers and processing over 5,000 battery packs annually. With the number of new energy vehicles in Europe exceeding 30 million, the battery repair market is growing at a rate of 25% annually. However, high-end repair equipment has long relied on imports from Germany and Japan. "Chuke Intelligent's equipment is not only priced at only 60% of imported brands, but it also features a modular quick-change
Fixture system developed specifically for repair scenarios. It can complete the positioning and clamping of different battery pack models within 10 minutes, significantly shortening changeover time," said Andrei, Head of Customer Procurement. "We tested equipment from seven suppliers on the market, and Chuke Intelligent's welding speed, precision, and stability all reached the top level in the industry."
According to Chuke Intelligent's overseas marketing department, the exported equipment has passed EU CE certification and German TüV safety certification, and comes pre-installed with a Russian-language operating interface and remote diagnostic system. The company also promises customers a "3-year full warranty + lifetime maintenance" service and has established spare parts warehouses in Kyiv and Kharkiv to ensure a 48-hour response time for repair needs.
As a national-level specialized and innovative "little giant" enterprise that grew up in Chongqing, Chuke Intelligent, relying on the more than 20 years of technological accumulation of its parent company Zixu Machinery, has built a complete industrial chain product matrix covering laser marking, welding, and cleaning. Its independently developed intelligent welding workstations have entered the supply chains of companies such as BYD and CATL, and its plastic laser welding machine has become the preferred brand in the medical equipment field with a 99.9% pass rate in sealing tests. The equipment exported to Ukraine this time has achieved independent control over its core light source and control system, with a localization rate of 95%, marking a leap from "following" to "running alongside" in the high-end manufacturing field of Chinese laser equipment.
"In 2026, we plan to establish a European R&D center in Poland, and jointly develop ultrafast laser welding technology suitable for solid-state battery repair with local universities," revealed Xiao Renmin, Chairman of Chuke Intelligent. The company is developing an integrated production line of "laser welding + online testing + data traceability," and in the future, each repaired battery pack will generate a unique digital ID, realizing full life-cycle quality traceability. As the global new energy vehicle industry enters its peak maintenance period, Chuke Intelligent is accelerating its journey into the blue ocean of the global laser equipment market, driven by technological innovation.
